Planned Parenthood Changes Its Tune, NM's Dr. Anthony Levatino Testifies Before U.S. House Committee

Planned Parenthood Changes Fetal Tissue Procurement Policy Under Examination and Oversight, Multiple Potential Violations of Law Still At Stake

Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards stated in a letter Tuesday to the National Institutes of Health that the organization's affiliates will no longer accept any reimbursements for costs associated with procuring tissue from abortions.   "If no harm done, why change the policy? Planned Parenthood squirms under examination and oversight of its multiple potential violations of the law and misuse of taxpayer funds" said Elisa Martinez, NMAFL Executive Director. "The issue still remains with a handful of other serious, potential violations of the law revealed in these videos including abortion doctors using illegal partial birth abortions and whether babies born alive are murdered outside the womb, their body parts harvested in the process, taking body parts without consent and changing of the abortion procedure to obtain 'intact' body parts."

Last week's U.S. House Judicial Committee hearings on Planned Parenthood's practices, featured testimony from Dr. Anthony Levatino, former late-term abortionist.  Dr. Levatino is now a pro-life OB-GYN practicing in Las Cruces, NM and testified as an expert witness for the NM Alliance for Life backed late-term abortion ban, before the NM Senate Judiciary Committee earlier this year.

Unfortunately for the people of New Mexico, NM Senate Judiciary committee chair,  Sen. Jerry Ortiz Y Pino (D- Bernalillo) did not allow Dr. Levatino to show videos of the late- term abortion procedures--
videos which were shown and permitted by the U.S. House committee hearings last week. 

These videos (watch here) feature alarming practices of none other than Albuquerque's late-term abortion business, Southwestern Women's Options where women are sent to various hotels during the "week long" process to deliver--at any time, a dead or alive baby into hotel toilets.
