"Another Boy!" Dissected for Parts and Sold.

The Center For Medical Progress released a 4th video and tragically, it is the most shocking and disturbing yet, revealing the disgusting practices of Planned Parenthood.   "Another boy!"  and "It's a baby" are some of the ghoulish statements made by Planned Parenthood staff while sifting through body parts. Their firsthand experience clearly indicates what we all know to be true, THESE ARE BABIES.  Babies who are subject to the most gruesome, violent deaths by "crushing" and dismembering their precious bodies. As if that were not enough, their  bruised and mangled bodies are sorted to prepare for market for profit.  In the words of Dr. Ginde of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains: "I've seen livers, I've seen stomachs... usually you can see the whole brain usually come out ." Beyond the shock and horror of the chop-shop talk of baby body parts, what is significant here is that the Planned Parenthood doctor is not concerned with abiding by the law--she is actually discussing how to break the law in order to sell baby body parts. Graphic content:

On Tuesday more than 50 cities - and counting - will be rallying against Planned Parenthood under the banner of #WomenBetrayed in response to the grisly undercover investigative videos released by the Center for Medical Progress over the past two weeks. 

National pro-life group Students for Life of America (SFLA) and its partner organization Pro-Life Future have launched the #WomenBetrayed initiative which urges citizens across the nation to rally to demand their states investigate, prosecute and defund Planned Parenthood.

Locally,  Students for Life UNM and New Mexico Alliance for Life have partnered to host the #WomenBetrayed Rally Albuquerque, in order to call on state leaders to investigate all abortion clinics in NM-- including Planned Parenthood, Southwestern Women's Options and the UNM Center for Reproductive Health abortion clinic.  We are calling for the defunding of Planned Parenthood and for an end to any research and harvesting of aborted baby body parts in our state. 


Albuquerque is home to the largest late-term abortion business in the nation,  Southwestern Women's Options and New Mexico Alliance for Life has revealed that  body parts of babies aborted up to the day of birth are also harvested for research purposes in NM.  "Our society has recognized the reality that the Nazi doctors were guilty of premeditated murder masqueraded as research,"  said Elisa Martinez, executive director of NMAFL. "Unborn babies are tortured to death as their bodies are 'crushed' in a manner to preserve their hearts, livers and lungs to be used for research. Medical science has no problem condemning the Nazi doctors as evil men and as we see the reality of the abortion industry's grotesque assault on its victims we must decide where we stand, and expect our leaders to do the same."  Join us tomorrow for the #WomenBetrayed Rally to demand answers and accountability in NM.

Thursday, a series of questions compiled by New Mexico Alliance for Life were presented to New Mexico legislators concerning the alarming practices of unregulated abortion clinics in New Mexico:  "In light of this national scandal, thank you for bringing these serious concerns to my attention" stated Rep. Rod Montoya (R-San Juan).  "I will work on getting answers to these serious issues. I hope to find that such disturbing practices aren't taking place in New Mexico."

Due to the recent investigation revealing Planned Parenthood's harvesting and unlawful sale of body parts from aborted babies, along with the outright violation of the partial-birth abortion ban,  NMAFL was the first to ask leaders in New Mexico to investigate the abortion industry in our state, not only Planned Parenthood but also the University of New Mexico's School of Medicine Family Planning Program and the UNM Center for Reproductive Health abortion clinic, which are funded by you--New Mexico taxpayers.

Additionally, NMAFL was the first to raise concern about the practice of harvesting aborted baby body parts in NM.  We have shared with you the disturbing practice clearly stated on Southwestern Women's Options consent form:  "I understand that tissue and parts will be removed during the procedure, and I consent to their examination and their use in medical research and their disposal by the clinic and/or physician in the manner they deem appropriate" View the full copy of consent form obtained by NMAFL here.

Here are some of the additional questions and concerns NMAFL has identified and were presented to New Mexico Legislators:

• On the UNM OB-GYN Department website, there is a reference made to "high level research and clinical skills in contraception and abortion." What type of abortion related research is being conducted at UNM?    Is the UNM Center for Reproductive Health participating in the unlawful sale or trafficking of aborted baby body parts or partial-birth abortion as revealed in the Planned Parenthood investigation?

• What relationship does UNM have with Planned Parenthood in New Mexico? What is the nature of the relationship between UNM and late-term abortionist Dr. Curtis Boyd? Are these relationships based on a mutual profit motive?

• What oversight does the legislature have over UNM, their abortion practices or affiliations? Without oversight, can we be sure that partial-birth abortions and the sale of body parts are not taking place, or if proper safety measures are in place for the women who are being practiced on?

• Speaker of the House Boehner has called for congressional hearings into Planned Parenthood. Several states are also investigating Planned Parenthood and their affiliates, can we find out what our flagship university is doing with public dollars and place some measure of oversight on New Mexico's completely unregulated abortion industry?

• Southwestern Women's Options consent form explicitly states that aborted baby body parts are being harvested in Albuquerque and used for research. What can be done to ensure that existing federal laws are not violated by New Mexico abortion businesses, including Southwestern Women's Options, UNM Center for Reproductive Health and Planned Parenthood in New Mexico?

New Mexico Alliance for Life is calling upon our elected officials to hold the big abortion industry in New Mexico including Planned Parenthood affiliates, Southwestern Women's Options and the University of New Mexico Women's Health abortion clinic accountable to the law and for our tax dollars to stop subsidizing these barbaric abortion practices.

Late-Term Abortion Fetal Body Parts Illegally Sold. Is it Happening New Mexico? 
We all know abortion is a profit driven industry. Yesterday, a ground breaking investigation by the Center for Medical Progress reveals Planned Parenthood's Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, admit to performing illegal partial-birth abortions in order to leave intact fetal body parts to illegally sell them for "research" in the video below.

This video illustrates what New Mexico Alliance for Life has always contended,  that the use of fetal tissue for resale and experimentation is unacceptable, as it is unethical and unlawful.  "The use of aborted baby body parts for research is like something from science fiction, it is a form of mad science at the height of depravity," said Elisa Martinez Executive Director of New Mexico Alliance for Life.  Yet, as we have shared with you, fetal tissues from innocent babies aborted in New Mexico are used and solicited for research.  


YES, THIS IS HAPPENING IN NEW MEXICO.    According to the consent form obtained by NMAFL, women who are seeking abortion at Dr. Curtis Boyd's  Southwestern Women's Options in Albuquerque are informed that the aborted body parts of their baby will be used for research purposes:   "I understand that tissue and parts will be removed during the procedure, and I consent to their examination and their use in medical research and their disposal by the clinic and/or physician in the manner they deem appropriate"- Southwestern Women's Options consent form. View the full copy of consent form obtained by NMAFL here.


Due to the lack of any oversight laws or restrictions enacted by our lawmakers in New Mexico, Curtis Boyd, notorious late-term abortionist,  operates the nation's largest late-term abortion center in Albuquerque selling abortion for any reason, up to the day of birth, solicits aborted baby body parts and is providing fetal body parts to mad science "research." Given the findings of the Center for Medical Progress investigation, it is also highly possible that Southwestern Women's Options and other abortion businesses in NM are profiting from the sale of aborted baby body parts. 


What is clear in the disturbing video is that an individual who dismembers unborn babies for a living is also capable of breaking the law. In fact, notorious Albuquerque late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd admits to breaking the law in the name of abortion in the past:  "the big fear was someone would either file charges against me or I would have some major complication or patient death. I knew that every patient I saw had the potential to not only take my medical license, but to put me in prison." More here


With no oversight or regulatory accountability here in New Mexico, NMAFL is calling upon New Mexico lawmakers to end the unsafe and unethical practice of late-term abortion, to enact oversight so that existing federal law is upheld to stop the harvesting of baby body parts and to ensure the ethical treatment of all human life. 
To date, leaders across the country are calling for federal and statewide investigations into the disturbing practice of fetal tissue harvesting.
