CALL TODAY! U.S. Senate to Vote on Banning Abortion after Five Months of Pregnancy
Next week, the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act will be introduced in the U.S. Senate. That means New Mexico's two U.S. Senators, Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich will vote on the late-term abortion bill that restricts barbaric and dangerous abortions performed after the fifth month of pregnancy. This is an important concern for New Mexico, home of unrestricted abortion up to the day of birth, and the nation's largest late-term abortion center in the U.S. where unborn babies are inhumanly aborted through all nine months of pregnancy--for ANY reason. Last month, the House of Representatives voted 242-184 for the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. As reported by New Mexico Alliance for Life, NM Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham and Rep. Ben Ray Lujan both voted to keep abortion legal until the day of birth. Additionally, New Mexico Alliance for Life was the only organization calling upon Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham to retract misleading and incorrect statements from her Congressional office in regard to the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, read press release here. Unfortunately, Sens. Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich both have extreme pro-abortion positions, completely out of line with most New Mexicans. New Mexico Alliance for Life staff has exposed the close relationship these leaders have with the most lucrative late-term abortionist, Curtis Boyd, who operates the U.S.'s largest late-term abortion facility located in downtown Albuquerque. For more details on their close relationship read more here. Despite their out-of-touch, late-term abortion associations, Senators Martin Heinrich and Tom Udall still need to hear from you. Tell them to support the voice of New Mexicans, not their wealthy out-of-state abortion political donors. Call or email (click on name below) today and urge the senators to vote YES on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act: Sen. Martin Heinrich (202) 224-5521 Sen. Tom Udall (202) 224-6621 There is substantial medical evidence that an unborn child is capable of experiencing pain, by 5 months if not earlier. By this stage of pregnancy, an unborn child responds to sound and touch, including the mother's voice. More information from doctors on fetal pain here. Help New Mexico Alliance for Life continue working for you to expose the abortion industry and pro-abortion leaders in our state--who perpetuate the extreme position of unrestricted abortion up to the day of birth. We rely on generous donors like you to continue this work, please consider a donation TODAY of $35, $50, $75 or more HERE. Or become a member of the "Founders Circle" with a $1000/year or $100/month contribution to support our work in fighting for pro-life issues HERE.
