Pro-Life Bill Passes House, Texas Takes Action Against Planned Parenthood and 11th Video Released What about NM?
If you only watch 2 minutes of this.... you will be disgusted, plus crackdown on Planned Parenthood and more pro-life news.
The U.S. House voted to pass the pro-life reconciliation bill, H.R. 3762 by a vote of 240- 189. The bill will redirect $400 million from Planned Parenthood to comprehensive women's health centers throughout the country. The bill now moves to the Senate where it cannot be filibustered, with only 51 votes necessary to pass. NMAFL thanks Congressman Steve Pearce (NM CD-2) for voting for the measure, which addresses the concerns of New Mexicans and forced taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood's corrupt practices. Unfortunately, Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM CD-1), who has received $8k from Planned Parenthood's political arm voted down the measure along with Rep. Ben Ray Lujan (NM CD-3).
Earlier this week Texas officials notified Planned Parenthood they would no longer receive Medicaid funding and yesterday officials from the Office of Inspector General visited Planned Parenthood abortion facilities in San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas asking offices to turn over employee and patient records for inspection. The Texas Planned Parenthood chain recently settled to pay back $4.3 million in Medicaid fraud, among other alarming violations revealed in the Center for Medical Progress videos.
"It is long past time that inspectors, not just in Texas but across the country, step foot inside Planned Parenthood clinics across the nation, Kermit Gosnell was able to operate his 'house of horrors' in Philadelphia, where babies and women were left to die after botched abortions, because regulators and health inspectors turned a blind eye," --Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood manager.
For this reason, NMAFL will continue collecting petitions until the end of this month, calling on our state's leaders to investigate NM's abortion clinics and for the defunding of Planned Parenthood.Sign and share our petition today.
An 11th undercover video from the Center for Medical is making the rounds. If you watch just two minutes of this you will be utterly disgusted, the lack of humanity and compassion for women and unborn children displayed by Planned Parenthood officials is palatable. The audience applauds at statements like these from an abortionist, "Not to mention, women know what's in there," she continued "They're not stupid...Let's just give them all the violence, it's a person, it's killing. Let's just give them all that." Watch video here.
Let's help protect New Mexico women from the lies of the abortion industry-and let's stop the practice of unborn children from being dismembered, their body parts harvested and sold as if they were car parts in our state.

Planned Parenthood Changes Fetal Tissue Procurement Policy Under Examination and Oversight, Multiple Potential Violations of Law Still At Stake
Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards stated in a letter Tuesday to the National Institutes of Health that the organization's affiliates will no longer accept any reimbursements for costs associated with procuring tissue from abortions. "If no harm done, why change the policy? Planned Parenthood squirms under examination and oversight of its multiple potential violations of the law and misuse of taxpayer funds" said Elisa Martinez, NMAFL Executive Director. "The issue still remains with a handful of other serious, potential violations of the law revealed in these videos including abortion doctors using illegal partial birth abortions and whether babies born alive are murdered outside the womb, their body parts harvested in the process, taking body parts without consent and changing of the abortion procedure to obtain 'intact' body parts." NMAFL has pointed out that these same potential violations of the law could be taking place in abortion clinics across New Mexico. Last week's U.S. House Judicial Committee hearings on Planned Parenthood's practices, featured testimony from Dr. Anthony Levatino, former late-term abortionist. Dr. Levatino is now a pro-life OB-GYN practicing in Las Cruces, NM and testified as an expert witness for the NM Alliance for Life backed late-term abortion ban, before the NM Senate Judiciary Committee earlier this year.
Unfortunately for the people of New Mexico, NM Senate Judiciary committee chair, Sen. Jerry Ortiz Y Pino (D- Bernalillo) did not allow Dr. Levatino to show videos of the late- term abortion procedures-- videos which were shown and permitted by the U.S. House committee hearings last week.
These videos (watch here) feature alarming practices of none other than Albuquerque's late-term abortion business, Southwestern Women's Options where women are sent to various hotels during the "week long" process to deliver--at any time, a dead or alive baby into hotel toilets.
How is this happening you ask? How is this legal? Sign and share our petition today to demand answers and action from our state's leaders. Help us protect New Mexico women from these unsafe and appalling practices of the abortion industry-and let's stop the practice of unborn children from being dismembered, their body parts harvested and sold for research that has resulted in no "life saving therapies" taking place in our state.

New Mexico Alliance for Life Pushing Back on False Claims by Pro-Abortion, Pro-Planned Parenthood Politicians
The Albuquerque Journal featured an op-ed by New Mexico Alliance for Life in favor of shifting forced taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood to funding community health centers that provide a full spectrum of women's health services, do not provide abortions, do not sell and harvest aborted baby body parts and do not turn around and give millions in political donations to keep their political cronies in office. NMAFL is leading the charge in exposing these political cronies who work hand in hand with the abortion industry in our state.
From the article:
"As an elected official, Rep. Michelle Lujan-Grisham has the "obligation" to be open and transparent - not to echo Planned Parenthood talking points, which for obvious reasons ignore the concerns revealed in these videos. Lujan-Grisham fails to mention she received $5,000 from the abortion giant in 2012 and $3,000 in 2014."
Take a moment to read the op-ed and share with friends. We must continue to spread the word on the importance of shifting the $500 million in forced taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood, instead to fund the165 community health clinics across New Mexico that provide comprehensive women's health services for ALL women-- including low-income women. Especially when the MAJORITY of Americans, 55% are against all or most abortions and the fact the Center for Medical Progress videos reveal at least 5 areas of the law potentially violated by Planned Parenthood's top executives. Don't forget Planned Parenthood is a business whose primary non-taxpayer funded revenue, 86 percent of which, comes from abortion and 95 percent of Planned Parenthood's pregnancy services end in abortion, not prenatal care.
Although Congress voted to continue funding the scandal-ridden abortion corporation through December, we must continue to press our leaders to stop pandering to Planned Parenthood, a special interest, big abortion corporation that funds their campaigns and start listening to the people who put them in office: "The New Mexico Alliance for Life along with thousands of other New Mexicans ask our leaders to move forward with a strategy of shifting funds from Planned Parenthood to providers of comprehensive women's health services - who are not part of a corrupt, political and ideologically driven organization."
