Infant Lives Panel: Contempt of Congress Recommendation Wednesday, the House Select Panel on Infant Lives voted to recommend the fetal tissue procurement CEO of StemExpress, Cate Dyer, in contempt of Congress for stonewalling its investigation into the harvesting and sale of aborted babies' body parts, by withholding subpoenaed documents. Sound familiar? StemExpress also refused to produce names of individuals under investigation, citing "safety" concerns, despite assurances the Panel would redact names. Sound familiar? UNM Health Sciences officials have acted in the same manner. NMAFL is the first to report to you that UNM HSC is using your hard earned tax dollars to pay a high dollar, international law firm in obstructing the Panel's investigation-- the same group of attorneys that have represented StemExpress. UNM Health Sciences Center
Caught in Public Scandal
NMAFL Exposes UNM HSC's False Statement to Public
Yesterday, the Albuquerque Journal reported on the disturbing aborted baby body part inventory and harvesting practices explicitly detailed in a notebook kept by University of New Mexico's Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC), titled "Procurement Notes." The article features NMAFL's investigatory work and highlights depraved comments made by UNM HSC staff, which illustrates their callous disregard for human life: One notation on Jan. 21, 2015, said "stomach broken, no panc (pancreas)" with a frowning face emoji next to it. Another entry from June 7, 2013, declared, "entire pancreas - whoo hoo!!" An entry from June 14, 2012, regarding brain tissue had the lab assistant writing in darker ink, "she plated it Monday they grew wonderfully!!"
However, University of New Mexico officials told the Albuquerque Journal in a December 20, 2015 article "UNMHSC Halts Abortion Training Program at Private Clinic" (featuring NMAFL's investigatory work on UNM's invalid contract to send residents to 'train' at Curtis Boyd's Southwestern Women's Options late-term abortion business): "UNMH officials said...they have no documents to show how much fetal tissue is sent from Boyd's clinic to UNM researchers, nor how often." No documents? Really?
The barbaric details of UNM Health Science Center's "Procurement Notes" explicitly document "how much fetal tissue is sent from Boyd's clinic to UNM researchers," "how often," and more, including highly detailed documentation of weight, size, age, and personal sentiments like, "entire pancreas--whoo hoo!!," "one entire retina! and piece of other" "[name redacted]- the Stealth Lab Rat." UNM Uses Hearts, Retinas, Pancreas and Other Human Body Parts From Aborted Babies as Early as 10 Weeks
UNM HSC's shroud of secrecy around their aborted baby harvesting operation with late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd has been exposed again. The total disregard for human life at UNM HSC is shockingly apparent as human brains from a 7 month aborted baby were ordered by a UNM researcher "to dissect w/ summer camp students." This is not a research. Nor is this life saving research but instead, a gratitutuous use of human brains and an abuse of ethical conduct for human subject research activities. Did this take place simply because UNM has direct access to fresh, aborted baby bodies to harvest up to 9 months from Curtis Boyd's late-term abortion business?
This also shows UNM HSC chief Paul Roth's disconnect from reality in stating that UNM HSC maintains "a higher ethical and compliance standard for our research than is required by the federal government..."
"The use of custom ordered human brains "to dissect w/summer camp students"
is a violation of ethical research protocols, in particular human subject research protections and really exemplifies why UNM HSC is in trouble, with a criminal referral evidencing multiple violations of the law," said NMAFL Executive Director Elisa Martinez. "This should be an embarrassment to the scientific community, which upholds standards of ethical considerations involving human subjects--these standards derived from the Nuremberg code so that using human subjects for research would not be abused or ethically compromised."

Select Panel Releases Interim Report Today
UNM Health Sciences Center's Paul Roth: Playing Games and Wasting Your Taxpayer Dollars
The Select Panel on Infant Lives released an Interim Report today, disclosing more evidence that UNM Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC) under Paul Roth have been playing games and hiding information, that you, the public is entitled to. The interim report released today demonstrates the frustration by the Select Panel in seeking public records from UNM HSC, who were only able to obtain many documents due to the efforts of NMAFL. In fact, NMAFL is the only organization that was cited in the Select Panel's criminal referral issued for UNM and Southwestern Women's Options (SWO) last month and the only organization from New Mexico cited in the report today.
From the report: "UNM also objected to some requests as beyond the scope of "the Select Panel's investigative authority." Some of the documents are so heavily redacted that it is impossible to understand their significance."
The panel went on to illustrate the differences between documents obtained by NMAFL and the documents produced by UNM pursuant to a congressional subpoena..."The absence of these important documents from UNM's document productions raises the concern that other important documents are missing as well."

The panel went on to illustrate the differences between documents obtained by NMAFL and the documents produced by UNM pursuant to a congressional subpoena..."The absence of these important documents from UNM's document productions raises the concern that other important documents are missing as well."
Highlights from the Report:
- UNM's heavy redactions hinder the Panel from completing the investigation into fetal tissue transfers.
- UNM grants faculty status to SWO abortionists, reported by NMAFLhere.
- UNM sent residents to perform abortions at SWO without paying them, reported by NMAFL here.
- UNM's researcher who custom orders a 7 month unborn baby's, "whole, fixed brains to dissect with summer camp students."
- Document sent per congressional subpoena completely blacked out, next to the same document submitted to committee from NMAFL's open records (IPRA) request below.
"The utter foolishness demonstrated by UNM HSC's attempt to appear to comply with the subpoenas shows an intent to mislead and to obstruct the investigative duties of the congressional panel," said Elisa Martinez executive director of New Mexico Alliance for Life. "It is clear now why UNM HSC has been willing to defy open records laws and congressional subpoenas: they are now facing a criminal referral and penalties evidencing violations of the law. NMAFL asks, what else is UNM HSC's Paul Roth, who is a state employee hiding from the public ?" Read the full report here.
Paul Roth: UNM HSC Is Not a Private Corporation and You're Not the CEO
Taxpayer funded UNM, and its taxpayer-funded employees continue to play games at our expense. Why does UNM HSC's Paul Roth, who is state employee continue operate UNM Health Sciences Center as if it were his own private enterprise? As if he were the CEO of his own private corporation? The reality is, Roth is a state employee and works for the taxpayers of New Mexico. NMAFL will continue our ongoing investigation, uncovering the shroud of secrecy between UNM and its harvesting baby body parts from Southwestern Women's Options late-term clinic, but we need your help today.
Paul Roth: The Game is Up
Tell Paul Roth, as a state employee who works for you, that UNM Health Sciences Center is NOT his own private corporation and that you expect him to comply with all subpoenas and open records requests without redactions, per the law. It not his job to waste your taxpayer dollars playing's games, hiring high dollar attorneys from out of state to keep hiding a public instuition's activities from the public.

As promised, NMAFL has a big announcement to make regarding our investigative work. Yesterday, the congressional Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives issued a criminal referral to New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas outlining evidence that the University of New Mexico and Southwestern Women's Options may have violated New Mexico statute. The report issued by the Select Panel includes numerous citations of NMAFL's investigative findings. The referral letter also notes that further investigation is warranted into whether UNM or SWWO also violated a federal statute that makes it a 10-year felony to receive valuable consideration in exchange for human fetal tissue.
"Through its investigation, the Panel has discovered that personnel within UNM's hospital and medical school have aggressively engaged in expanding abortion in New Mexico through the offices, personnel, and resources of UNM." - Marsha Blackburn, chair of the Select Investigative Panel

Excerpts from the documents released by Select Panel yesterday are nothing short of depraved. A horrific set of notes comes from a UNMHSC employee, regarding UNMHSC's Dream Makers Health Careers Program for middle and high school students' exposure to "health professions" which includes "dissections of various specimens." The fashion in which the nameless UNMHSC employee custom orders baby's brains from Boyd's abortion clinic is shocking and disgusting-- but worse, the UNMHSC employee order babies' brains to dissect with summer camp students, "Asked clinic for digoxin treated tissue 24-28 wks. for methylation study & because [name redacted] wants whole, fixed brains to dissect w/ summer camp students."
NMAFL's general counsel, Mike Seibel after previewing the breadth of documents stated, "these are the most depraved acts I have ever seen, in over 20 years in the practice of law--I have seen human bodies burned in accidents, beheadings, and worse, however the blatant soliciting of aborted infant brains in order to dissect at a children's summer camp tops it all."
Will you help New Mexico Alliance for Life continue exposing these depraved, illicit activities funded by our tax dollars at the University of New Mexico? Many of these findings have been previously exposed by NMAFL, throughout our year-long investigation into the UNM/Boyd aborted infant harvesting program. "It is apparent in the Select Panel's report, the numerous perplexing relationships between UNM Health Sciences Center and Curtis Boyd's clinic, a detailed investigation must take place to uncover where the law is being violated," said Elisa Martinez executive director of New Mexico Alliance for Life. "UNM HSC's Paul Roth's stonewalling inquiries into their harvesting program with Curtis Boyd, along with potential violations of the law is a breach of public trust and should be a concern to all New Mexicans. We expect Attorney General Balderas to enforce the law before protecting the abortion industry." |
Enough is enough. Help us today, so we can continue our investigation and taking action to dismantle the stronghold of the abortion industry in our state and at the University of New Mexico.

NMAFL Announces "Blow the Whistle" Campaign
Calling On UNM Health Sciences Center, Southwestern Women's Options and Abortion Clinic Employees to Report Wrongdoing
The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and late-term abortion clinic, Southwestern Women's Options in Albuquerque are currently under congressional investigation by the Select Panel on Infant Lives for the harvesting of aborted infant parts and organs, and other abortion practices. This includes illegal partial birth abortions, live births resulting from abortion, HIPPA violations, violating women's rights, and other violations of federal regulations and statutes governing these practices.
"Since the release of the horrific videos that exposed Planned Parenthood doctors and administrators discussing the harvesting and sale of aborted infant body parts, the congressional select investigative panel has produced significant response from whistleblowers that corroborate with what was described in the videos of Planned Parenthood employees," said Elisa Martinez, executive director of New Mexico Alliance for Life. "The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center has engaged in harvesting aborted body parts and organs from Albuquerque's late-term abortion center, Southwestern Women's Options-- where infants can be born alive from failed late-term abortions, yet have been unwilling to produce public document regarding many of these practices, therefore we are asking whistleblowers to confidentially come forward."
"Blow the Whistle" aims to give employees at UNM Health Science Center, Southwestern Women's Options and any abortion clinics in New Mexico the platform they need to report wrongdoing--in strict confidence. We encourage employees to come forward. Its time to take action to protect women's rights and innocent infant lives. There are numerous laws and regulations governing these practices. If you have information regarding misconduct or wrongdoing speak up and report it today and help us take a stand for women's rights and innocent lives at stake. Whistleblowers can submit information using our secure online form today!

Multiple Federal Investigations Called For:
Planned Parenthood and StemExpress Violating Women's Rights and Profiteering Scheme
Are UNM and Curtis Boyd's
Southwestern Women's Options Next?
Documents released yesterday by the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives reveal a profiteering scheme between Planned Parenthood abortion clinics and StemExpress to harvest aborted infant body parts and organs, while violating women's privacy rights in the process. The Select Panel is now calling on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to investigate Planned Parenthood abortion clinics for potential violations of federal privacy law and other violations.
"This betrayal of a young woman's trust should disgust us all. It takes financial advantage, obtains consent through coercion, and deceives the woman, all in violation of federal privacy laws," said Rep. Marsha Blackburn, Select Panel chair.

What You Need to Know
As reported by the Washington Times: Documents released by the Select Panel show the day before abortions were scheduled to take place,StemExpress was notified by fax by the clinics and granted medical files on individual patients. Medical staff at the clinics later directed StemExpressemployees to "good candidates" for fetal tissue procurement. StemExpressemployees also appeared to be negotiating the sale of fetal tissue with the abortion clinics "before they obtained informed consent to procure the fetal tissue," Ms. Blackburn said. Are UNM and Southwestern Women's Options Late-Term Abortion Business Next?
The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, (UNMHSC) and Curtis Boyd's Southwestern Women's Options late-term business are also under congressional investigation by the Select Panel for potential violations of the law. Could this be why UNM HSC administrators and late-term abortionist/UNM professor Curtis Boyd are hiding documents from the Select Panel on Infant Lives? UNM HSC has been hiding PUBLIC documents for inspection since last year, in fact NMAFL has filed a lawsuit against UNM, in order to obtain information that should be public record on UNM HSC's harvesting of aborted infant body parts, and other abortion practices. Despite protestations from UNMHSC head, Paul Roth, seeking the "relevance" to the congressional committee's "request for personally identifiable information," answers may be forthcoming.
"When questions are raised about the possibility that a federal statute has been violated, Congress has a duty to the taxpayers to find the facts and get to the bottom of what is actually going on," said committee Chairman, Congressman Marsha Blackburn.

The Cover Up
NMAFL has found alarming policies and practices employed by both Southwestern Women's Options and UNMHSC--not only from their aborted baby body parts harvesting, but also their dangerous late-term abortion practices.
UNM's OB-GYN Department Chair, Dr. Eve Espey has developed a shocking policy at UNM Hospital for "live-birth" infants who survive induced abortion, as discovered by NMAFL, which spurred legislation introduced this year. The question remains to date, how are newborns who survive an abortion treated and cared for by abortionists like Espey or Boyd?
For nearly a year NMAFL has been asking a series of questions regarding the abortion practices and policies at UNMHSC including their collaboration with Curtis Boyd and experimentation using aborted infant eyes, brains, lungs, hearts, etc. that are transported from Boyd's clinic by UNMHSC staff. When NMAFL's investigative findings were published by the Albuquerque Journal on December 20, 2015, even then, UNMHSC officials were not forthright with the public stating, "they had no documents to show how much fetal tissue is sent from Boyd's clinic to UNM researchers, nor how often."

Oops! UNM Health Sciences Center Releases Social Security Numbers of Faculty
From the outset of the Congressional Select Panel on Infant Lives investigation into University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC) harvesting of aborted infant organs and parts through their relationship with late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd, UNM HSC has claimed the need to protect "safety of faculty, staff" as an excuse to defy congressional subpoenas.
UNM HSC chief, Dr. Paul Roth's supposed concern for "safety of faculty" preventing UNM HSC from providing "personally identifiable information" to the Congressional Select Panel on Infant Lives is called into question amidst a major privacy breech.
UNM HSC publicly released the most private, "personally identifiable information" of two abortionists caught square in the middle of the congressional investigation, Curtis Boyd, owner of Southwestern Women's Options late-term abortion clinic, and his staff abortionist Carmen Landau. In recent open records requests submitted by NMAFL, UNM HSC released not only home addresses and dates of birth, but, along with this information, the full social security numbers of both late-term abortionists who also serve as faculty, click here to view documents.
NMAFL found that both late-term abortionists also serve as "clinical assistant professors" at the University. NMAFL has previously reported on the UNM HSC's violation of their own policy in appointing Boyd to instruct students in the OB-GYN department, despite not being an OB-GYN doctor nor having any board certification qualifications.

WHAT IS UNM HSC CHIEF
PAUL ROTH HIDING?
UNM HSC has been withholding information regarding these practices since NMAFL launched our investigation last year-- months before the congressional inquiries. UNM Health Sciences Center under Roth has offered perplexing and contradictory statements as well, telling the Albuquerque Journal they have "no documents to show how much fetal tissue is sent from Boyd's clinic to UNM researchers, nor how often." UNMHSC's latest excuse for withholding information regarding the harvesting and experimentation on aborted infant organs and parts, is suspect.
"On one hand, Roth claims to be protecting staff safety by not disclosing names of individuals who may be complicit with violations of the law, to a congressional committee--a branch of government, which are clearly public records, however UNM HSC turns around and hands over the social security numbers of the very individuals involved in the aborted infant lives investigation to the general public," said Elisa Martinez, New Mexico Alliance for Life executive director. "UNM HSC's actions do not mirror their new excuse for not disclosing information regarding these practices, claims of "staff safety" simply do not match their actions. We know Dr. Paul Roth's claim of protecting staff safety is a ruse since UNM HSC carelessly handed over the most "personally identifiable information" of two faculty members, late-term abortionists Boyd and Landau--the very staff they claim to be protecting, caught square in the middle of the congressional investigation."
Even the Albuquerque Journal called out UNM HSC, in this must read editorial, on their claims of safety as an excuse for not cooperating with a congressional investigation!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. WHAT YOU CAN DO
Unlike UNM HSC, NMAFL is acutely aware of the need to protect this type of highly sensitive, private information from public disclosure. The release of an individual's social security number without proper procedural safeguards can have devastating consequences, as well as exposing the University and taxpayers to costly lawsuits. Due to UNM HSC's general counsel's failure to properly inspect documents, leaves the university liable, while NMAFL is forced to do their job. Out of concern for the safety of these individuals, NMAFL will take all reasonable actions to prevent re-disclosure of Curtis Boyd and Carmen Landau's social security numbers and dates of birth.

Congressional Hearing Tomorrow
Plus: What is UNMHSC's Dr. Paul Roth Hiding?
The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, (UNMHSC) and Southwestern Women's Options late-term clinic are under congressional investigation for potential violations of the law in regards to harvesting of aborted infant organs and body parts, and other abortion practices. Despite protestations from UNMHSC head, Paul Roth, seeking the "relevance" to the congressional committee's "request for personally identifiable information," the public deserves to know what is going on and who is involved.
"When questions are raised about the possibility that a federal statute has been violated, Congress has a duty to the taxpayers to find the facts and get to the bottom of what is actually going on," said committee Chairman, Congressman Marsha Blackburn.
THIS WEDNESDAY: The committee has announced its second hearing; on the pricing of fetal tissue to be held this Wednesday, April 20 at 12 noon MST, the live stream can be viewed here.

Why is UNMHSC, a state funded entity whose employees are paid by taxpayers, not cooperating with NMAFL's state open records requests? Why is our state funded university refusing to be open with the congressional committee? Do they think they are above the law?
It is an embarrassment that New Mexico taxpayers are forced to fly state employees to Washington D.C. to be deposed by Congress, and on top of that, pay thousands of dollars in legal costs because they refuse to cooperate, and are hiding documents on the aborted baby harvesting and collaboration with late-term abortionist Boyd.

Is There A Pattern?
This is not the first time UNMHSC top administrators have attempted to suppress information. In fact UNMHSC's attorney, Scott Sauder, by the "imprimatur" of UNMHSC head Paul Roth, caused UNM to be fined $100,000, (paid out by taxpayers) for "improperly and willfully" intimidating a witness. UNMHSC has yet another lawsuit for impropriety, in violating a student's first amendment rights who happened to express his opinion against abortion. As reported by the Albuquerque Journal, UNM medical student, Paul Hunt was threatened with expulsion, forced to edit and re-edit his personal Facebook account to the approval of UNMHSC officials. Hunt was reported to none other than pro-abortion advocate, UNM OB-GYN department chair, Eve Espey. Read more here.
How many hundreds of thousands of dollars will taxpayers have to pay out for UNMHSC officials' obstinance and problems with compliance with the law?
