  Did you know Planned Parenthood doesn't operate a single licensed mammogram center?  Also, Planned Parenthood's very limited gynecological services are performed at community health centers, at a higher quality and often for free of charge for women in need.  Don't forget, Planned Parenthood's operating budget has quotas for abortions (video) and often charges the women they claim to serve upwards of $45 for a $2 pregnancy test--all the while countless women continue to come forward with their stories, how they were betrayed by profit-driven Planned Parenthood. 

So why did New Mexico's U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich vote to block the defunding of Planned Parenthood yesterday-ensuring this depraved corporation siphons off more than half a billion of your tax dollars each year?

We all know it is not because Planned Parenthood preforms needed health services, nor because they are a benevolent organization concerned about women's health.  Did you know Senators Udall and Heinrich receive tens of thousands of dollars from the abortion industry for their political campaigns?

During the 2014 election cycle alone, Sen. Udall received $7,500 from Planned Parenthood.  During his 2012 race for the Senate, Sen. Martin Heinrich received $9,298 from Planned Parenthood, $2,000 in 2010 and another $2,000 in 2008. And for good measure, the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL) donated $10,000 to Heinrich's tight elections in 2012 and $10,000 in 2010. NARAL also invested $10,000 in Udall in 2008.  

What is even more unsettling, abortionists themselves will not only fund political action committees (PACs) like NARAL and Planned Parenthood Votes.  Abortionists directly fund candidates who help keep the money train flowing: 
Late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd of Texas, who operates the country's largest late-term abortion business, killing unborn children until the day of birth while offering up their body parts for research gave  $2,500 to NM Sen. Heinrich and $2,300 to NM Sen.Udall.   As New Mexicans we need to ask, are these the leaders we trust and want to represent us?  Who are they representing?

Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, one of the most profitable affiliates, admits on tape to changing the abortion procedure to get the most "intact" parts. It is time to for these disturbing and illegal practices to end, and it is time for our leaders to take a stand. Yet again, NMAFL asks: is this happening in New Mexico? Sign and share the petition today to demand answers.

Perhaps this is why certain politicians fight so hard against the people of New Mexico and common sense measures. Could this be why Curtis Boyd and the abortion industry operate so freely, not to mention lucratively-- without oversight or accountability in our state?
